The NuForce CDP-8 features an optical drive system and a powerful DSP-based decoder allowing for  incorporation of all available Red Book error-correction capabilities. This is a huge advantage over earlier decoding strategies. This feature also facilitates master-clock control of the entire audio decoding system, thus lowering  jitter distortion significantly.  The CDP-8 transport runs at a single speed in order to minimize the impact of unbalanced discs and vibration. A high-performance DAC and sophisticated analog output circuit handle the final decoding.

As an attractive ergonomic feature, a touch-sensitive strip controls the CDP-8, thus avoiding the need for mechanical switches or push-buttons.  The included remote integrates volume and input functions for use with NuForce’s preamp and Integrated amp.
